NATURE OF GOD

Is God a unity – duality – trinity – or other? If other, specify.

The Lord our God is one Lord.

A. 1Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

B. Galatians 3:20 - Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

C. Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

D. 1 Corinthians 8:5 & 6 - For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

E. Ephesians 4: 5 & 6 - One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

F. Isaiah 44:6 - Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

G. Isaiah 45:18 - For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

H. John 17:3 - And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Where is God now?

In Heaven.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 - Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Luke 11:2 - And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

1 Kings 8:27 - But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

1 Kings 8:43 - Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

Psalms 73:25 - Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

Mark 16:19 - So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Acts 7:49 - Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

Psalms 2:4 - He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Isaiah 66:1 - Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Will He ever be on earth?

Revelation 21:2 & 3 - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. :3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 7:15 - Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Revelation 22:5 - And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Job 19:25 - For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Psalm 50:3 - Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

John 14:23 - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Psalm 132:13 &14 - For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. :14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Psalm 68:16 - Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.
