Man is a unity.
Genesis 2:7, 17 - And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed innto his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. :17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
1 Corinthians 15:45, 47 - And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. :47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Ezekiel 18:4 - Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
1 Corinthians 12:12-24 - For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. :13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. :14 For the body is not one member, but many. :15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? :16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? :17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? Psalm 103:14 - For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Hebrews 2:14, 16 - Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; :16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Psalms 146:2 - While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
2 Timothy 4:18 ("me") - And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No, death is a sleep.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 & 20 - For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Job 14: 12, 20, 21 - So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. :20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away. :21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
John 11:11 & 14 - These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. :14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
